
Building a technical solution to minimise wastage in a display environment
Goal
To find a solution that delivered high volumes of converting traffic to Moneysupermarket.com’s lenders using digital display advertising - a channel which had previously not worked for the client.
Solution
TBG London developed interactive, live feed XML ads which allowed real time rates and data to be served in ad units such as MPUs, skyscrapers and banners. Users were given the option to choose the best five rates from three different personal credit categories; good, fair and poor. Once clicked on, the user would then be directed to a relevant lender application page. The ads were served on a range of placements from major portals and networks to more targeted finance channels. All of which were tracked and given individual ROI targets.

Results
Interactive ads successfully delivered over 3,500 click throughs to lenders’ sites per day and overall return on investment for the client was 24% on media spend.
Due to the initial success, TBG are now rolling out the XML ads across other Moneysupermarket.com channels including Credit Cards and Motor Insurance.
