Geo Targeting is a method by which the physical location of an internet user is ascertained and then marketed to by matching it to your ideal consumer location profile.
In doing so, wastage is minimised as only those who are more likely to convert on your message are shown your advertisement.
Geo Targeting can either user IP targeting which uses the IP address of the user’s PC to establish their location or can use geographical information which is provided by the user on sign up or registration to an online service.
